Production and completion funding from Screen Ireland is provided as a repayable loan that is recouped alongside other investors, with a share of net profit once recouped.
Ireland's Section 481 film tax credit (32% of eligible Irish spend, with a 40% rate for eligible VFX and an additional 8% Scéal uplift for mid- and lower-budget productions under €20 million; extended to December 2028) is separate from Screen Ireland funding and applies to qualifying Irish film and TV productions.
